CMAPS
A Pathway to Communicative Competence and Functional Independence
C-MAPS is an intensive early intervention program that promotes developmental growth, communicative competence, and functional independence in children with Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. It focuses on children acquiring age appropriate skills in five areas of development: Communication, Cognition, Motor, Adaptive/Self-Help and Personal-Social. Children who receive
C-MAPS intervention develop functional skills that enhance their quality of life by improving their ability to participate in daily routines, enhance social interactions, and alleviate family distress. Participants receive therapeutic intervention based on individual need. Each participant is evaluated prior to starting the program and re-evaluated every three months. Treatment plans are devised based on the participants needs. The C-MAPS program enables children and their families to overcome challenges during daily routines. All services are provided by Licensed Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Assistants who have been C-MAPS trained and Certified. Participants meet 2-5 times per week for 45 min sessions depending on the individual needs of the child. Max enrollment per group is 4. Parents of participants are required to participate in one monthly parent coaching session (in person or video).
